President Ruto Appoints 20 New High Court Judges

President William Ruto has appointed 20 judges to the High Court, following the Judicial Service Commission’s recommendation. The appointments include 12 men and 8 women, selected from 95 applicants after a month-long interview process.

The appointed judges are John Lolwatan Tamar, Francis Weche Andayi, Julius Kipkosgei Ng’arng’ar, Wendy Kagendo Micheni, Emily Onyando Ominde, Julius Mukut Nangea, Caroline Jepyegen Kendagor, Stephen Nzisi Mbungi, Linus Poghon Kassan, Joe Omido Mkutu, Moses Ado Otieno, Alice Chepngetich Bett Soi, Benjamin Mwikya Musyoki, Helene Rafaela Namisi, Noel Onditi Adagi Inziani, Rhoda Cherotich Rutto, Benjamin Kimani Njoroge, Andrew Bahati Mwamuye, Alexander Muasya Muteti, and Tabitha Ouya Wanyama.

The recruitment aims to enhance access to justice and reduce case backlog, with the High Court currently having 78 judges serving in 45 stations nationwide.
