Marco Reus Looks Forward to Wembley Return at End of Dortmund Career

Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus is set to bid farewell to the club, but not before returning to Wembley Stadium for another shot at Champions League success. Dortmund secured their spot in the final with a 2-0 aggregate win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Reus expressed his excitement about returning to Wembley, where Dortmund lost the 2013 final to Bayern Munich. This year, Dortmund will face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the final.

Reus, who joined Dortmund in 2012, will leave the club at the end of the season with two German Cups but without a Bundesliga or Champions League title. Despite this, he is thrilled about Dortmund’s unexpected journey to the final.

Dortmund’s victory over PSG was secured by a goal from Mats Hummels, who also played in the 2013 final. Reus praised the team’s performance and emphasized that nobody expected Dortmund to make it to the final.

This final appearance will be Dortmund’s third in the Champions League, having previously won the title in 1997. The final at Wembley on June 1 promises to be a thrilling conclusion to Dortmund’s season.
