Ian Ngige’s Mother Defends Son Amid Robbery and Assault Charges

“All I saw was flying squad cars outside my gate. They said he is a murderer and robber. I have never seen him like that. Something must have happened to him. I want to apologize,” said Ian Ngige’s mother as she stood by her son’s good name, despite a graphic video showing the assault on a traffic officer.

Ian Ngige Njoroge, a 19-year-old university student, has been charged with robbery with violence, resisting arrest, and causing grievous harm. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. The Prosecution, represented by Ms. Virginia Kariuki, has objected to his release on bail.
