Steps to Apply for KNEC Certification Letter (Lost Certificate):
- Register an Account at QMIS:
- Go to the Query Management Information System (QMIS) platform.
- Create and register an account.
- Log In:
- Use the credentials sent to your email to log in.
- Select Lost Certificate Option:
- From the menu, choose the “Lost Certificate” option.
- Fill in Required Information:
- Enter your Index Number, type of exam, and the year of examination, then click “FIND”.
- Attach Required Documents:
- Copy of the lost certificate or result slip (mandatory).
- Both sides of your ID.
- Passport-size photo.
- Police abstract.
- Confirmation from the Registrar of Persons (available at NSSF Building, 7th Floor, Upper Hill, Nairobi).
- Submit the Application:
- Complete and submit the application form.
- Await Verification:
- Wait for your application to be verified.
- Receive Payment Notification:
- You will get an SMS notification instructing you to log in and make the payment.
- Make Payment:
- Pay KES 5,220 for the certification letter.

- Once the process is complete, you will receive an SMS notification to collect your certification letter from KNEC offices.
