Taskforce Inaugurated to Review Medical Education and Training in Kenya

Together with CS for Education @machoguezekiel, a joint task force has been inaugurated to review the state of medical education and training in Kenya. Comprising experts from academia and industry, the task force aims to assess the country’s training needs in relation to capacity across public and private medical training institutions. Its findings will inform policy decisions and interventions crucial for planning and quality assurance.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to address long-standing human resources for health issues in Kenya, some of which have led to doctors’ strike actions. The task force has been tasked with completing its review within two months and presenting its recommendations.
