How I Rejected a Plum Job in Govt & Fallout with Wetangula- Governor Natembeya

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has addressed his fallout with National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula and how he rejected an offer to be a Kenyan ambassador.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with KTN, the governor also talked about his ‘Tawe’ movement and how it aims to bring good governance to the Western region.

When asked about their last conversation with Wetangula, the governor recalled how he rejected Wetangula’s call to withdraw from the gubernatorial race in the 2022 poll. He narrated that after failed attempts to convince him, Wetangula told him that he was going to lose in the contest.

According to Natembeya, the Kenya Kwanza team had promised to appoint him as an ambassador if he agreed to their demands.

Last month, supporters of Natembeya and Wetangula clashed during a burial ceremony in Trans Nzoia.

Despite the widening rift between him and Governor Natembeya stemming from the burial incident, the Ford-Kenya leader recently emphasized that politicians who engage in physical altercations will face judgment from the electorate during elections. He urged political leaders to redirect their efforts towards serving the Kenyan people.
